Introducing 'Some Kind of Stringed' the newest acoustic duo to grace the Newcastle music scene!! I was beyond excited when these two reached out to me and asked me to collaborate with them on their brand new Duo Music Venture! I couldn't resist!! I've known Gabi for a couple of years now and she is an absolute powerhouse of talent, and it seems she may have met her match with the musical brilliance of Corey! The two are currently taking bookings for gigs, weddings, functions and much more. Covering the Newcastle, Maitland, Hunter Valley and Central Coast areas. Playing everything form Today's Hits. 90's RNB, and Classic Old School Hits!!

Meet The Duo:

Corey is the guitarist in ‘Some Kind Of Stringed’ and has been playing since he was 13 years old, and has been playing for close to 9 years. He has full band experience as he has played as a guitarist for bands such as Off Limits, Oblivious, Swearwolves and Scattered Aces in previous years! Corey has had a wide range of training as he went to Beat Industry for 2 years and Rock God Music school for 3 years, and has been self taught ever since! Influences for Corey include AC/DC, Cold Chisel, The Living End, and Diesel. Corey is challenging him self with a new style of acoustic music as he expands his range!

Gabi is the vocalist in the duo ‘Some Kind Of Stringed’ and has been singing since the age of 12, giving her close to 11 years experience! She had contemporary training for 2 years with Anna’s School Of Music, and was apart of their Band development program before moving on and trying something new! Gabi had musical theatre training with Pantseat Performing Arts since she was 14, and has performed in shows such as ‘RENT,’ ‘Xanadu,’ ‘Little Shop Of Horrors,’ and many more! Gabi also holds an Associate Diploma in Musical Theatre which she gained in 2014! Her main influences include Amy Winehouse, Adele, Rhianna, and Alicia Keys! She’s trying her hand at something more stripped back and loving it!
