I recently had the opportunity of shooting with the immensely talented Jessica Di Costa. She contacted me after seeing some of the work I had done with our friend Pat Dibs (his shoot HERE) and wanted to work on creating a fun, energetic and vibrant shoot. We started throwing ideas back and forth, settling on the backdrop of Sydney with the gorgeous Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Luna Park.
Jessica graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts (Music Theatre). Prior to this she completed a Certificate II in Music Theatre, also at WAAPA. Her roles during this time include: ‘Violet’ in Jeanine Tesori’s Violet, ‘Miss Jones’ in Frank Loesser’s How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and ‘Jack’s Mother’ in James Lepine’s and Stephen Sondheim’s Into The Woods.
Jessica made her professional debut in the Australian tour of Grease (GFO) 2013- 2015 in which she covered the roles of ‘Rizzo’ and ‘Jan’. Although most of her time is spent in live theatre she has a passion for screen acting and in 2016 Jessica played the role of ‘Wendy Whiteley’ in the film Whiteley.
Jessica is set to star in the cast of the new 'Mamma Mia: The Musical' as the character 'Lisa' which opens in Canberra on 24th November 2017, travelling through Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide.
